Original canvas. The work appears to be in excellent overall condition. A few very fine lines of craquelure to the thicker pigment in places. Possible minute losses to impasto tips. A few very pale scuff marks to the work, including towards the lower edge. Some very light surface dirt, minor specks of matter and studio detritus to the work in places. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is presented in a wooden slip within a gold painted wooden frame.
